Landscape ‘London’s Water’ PechaKucha Event
Posted / Friday, June 3rd, 2016
Postgraduate Landscape students are hosting an event in collaboration with the Landscape Institute London Branch to discuss ideas on how to potentially integrate the city’s water into the public realm in enjoyable and sustainable ways.
The River Thames has always been the bedrock of economic and geographical power for the capital, and the construction of the Thames Tideway Tunnel will increase drainage capacity, becoming yet another extension to the city’s vast, embedded infrastructure.
Rather than containing water in subterranean networks, can the urban realm accommodate it?
Join us in sharing ideas on Thursday 9 June from 6.00pm to 8.00pm in Studio 10 at the School of Architecture and Landscape, Knights Park Campus.
The event will include presentations from practitioners and students.
