Dr Jana Scholze

Jana has been previously Curator of contemporary Furniture and Product Design at V&A. She has been co-curator of the Museum's exhibition 'What is Luxury?' (2015) and worked on headline shows such as 'Cold War Modern. Design 1945-1972. (2009). With a profound interest in contemporary design practice, her own curatorial practice is based on an understanding of the museum as a site for untested thinking. Pursuing this interest via exhibition, pedagogy, and publication, she is a regular critic at international design and art schools, such as HEAD Geneva and the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam, an exhibition editor of Design and Culture, a judge of various design awards. She has published recently on topics such as curating immateriality and immaterials in design museums.
