Research expertise

My research area is the philosophy and history of architecture, with particular focus on:
» The philosophers Kant, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Sartre, Gadamer, Klossowski, Blanchot, Derrida, Deleuze, Guattari, Badiou and Meillassoux; each taken as philosophers relevant to a potentially rich exposition of a "correlationist" ontology of architecture
» Architects Francesco di Giorgio, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno, George Edmund Street, Gunnar Asplund, Le Corbusier, Neave Brown and Herzog & de Meuron, who relate to this ontology

Key research outputs include:
Serial logic of architecture, in Architecture & [Series] vol 3, University of Edinburgh, 2011
The model, its object and architecture's correlation, in The Anxious Prop Case 4 reviewing making-visible, Berlin, 2011
Alexandra Road and the triumph of British Architectural Modernism, in British Culture in the 1970s, edited Foster and Harper
Agency and Gift of Architecture, in Field journal Vol 3(1) December 2009
Cura, an essay in Curating Architecture and the City, edited Chaplin and Stara, Routledge, 2009
Architecture not Conceptual but Ideational, in building designing thinking, edited Jormakka Laaksonen, Alvar Aalto Foundation, Finland 2008
Defiguration of space, in Figuration-Defiguration, edited Onuki and Pekar, Iudicum Verlag, Munich 2006
