Ms Ann Hulland
School: School of Art and Architecture
Position: Associate Professor
Studied painting at Newcastle University, and then an MA in sculpture at Newcastle. I was responsible for the Foundation Course at Middlesex University, and then became the Curriculum Leader for the Fine Art School. Before I moved to Kingston in 2009 I was acting Head of Art, Design and Performing Arts at Middlesex, after a short period of being the Academic Chair of Art, Philosophy and Visual Culture.
I have a strong commitment to pedagogy and have been involved in the design, management and delivery of higher education courses throughout my career. This reflects my belief in art education and the powerful role that it has in society in its broadest sense. I have a firm commitment to undergraduate Fine Art education and the support that it gives to emerging talent as well as its broader educational potential.
I maintain a practice that examines repetition and number structures that order images and objects.
